Google Search Console adds AI filter tool

Last week Google announced that their “AI-powered configuration tool” for Google Search Console is now live for all users. The tool was released to a limited set of websites as an “experiment” in December 2025. Now everyone with a Search Console property should see the tool on each properties Performance report.

If you have a hard time with Regular Expressions (RegEx), this is a helpful way to quickly filter the page and query reports to show more complicated combinations of results, or set up comparison views.

Check out this video demo:

Examples in the demo include:

  • Comparing your traffic to your blog posts to all other pages on the site
  • Filtering down the queries report to a specific set of keywords that you're interested in
  • Finding all the question-based queries that are driving traffic from organic search

See what you can uncover!
