Sometimes the free, open web serves up something great

If you're an overburdened nonprofit comms person you're juggling a million channels social, web, email, print.

And in this world, there are some repetitive tasks that I bet you do over and over again ever week.

  • Resizing photos to use as featured images on your website
  • Splitting images to create carousels for social
  • Converting images between file types
  • Reducing image file size
  • Generating QR codes

This week, I came across Delphitools, an awesome free collection that help with all these regular tasks.

Your homework for today: go check it out and add it to your bookmarks (or however you save websites you like):

This tool collection was created by Ruby Morgan Voigt, and is 100% free and doesn't require any login to use.

That's all for this week. Hope it saves you a few minutes, and reminds you of the value of the free, open web, where people you don't know create free, interesting things and share them with each other ☺️

Oh, and shout out to The Index from Piccalilli, which pointed me to this tool in the first place. Worth the subscribe if you want to stumble across cool design and tech stuff and don't want to go anywhere near Twitter X.

Do you have a website project coming up this year that you want to discuss?

I offer free consultations for nonprofit org staff considering a website rebuild or redesign, or who need help answering questions like these.

I'm currently booking new projects to start in April and beyond.

Until next time ✨

Hi friends πŸ‘‹πŸ» Last week I spent some time helping a website client with questions about their email marketing program metrics. That might sound like it's beyond the scope of my website projects, but that's not the way I work. I do everything I can to make myself a resource for my clients for the website and all the digital tools that are connected to it. So if you have questions about what you're seeing in your analytics, or how to download a filtered report from your fundraising platform,...

Hi friends πŸ‘‹πŸ» This week, a quick video demo from a recent nonprofit website project that gave me the chance to implement geographic search in a custom content collection. And a reminder about the upcoming Text for Good program, with a discount code for you! Want links to recent emails or a sign-up link to share? Go to The Digital Landscape sign-up page Let's talk about collections of custom content I’ve written plenty of times (and have plenty of case studies) encouraging the development of...

Go to The Digital Landscape sign-up page Want to go beyond email and connect with your supporters by text? 🀳 When I'm talking with communications managers, getting to know their nonprofit's stack of digital tools, I ask whether they have a texting program. The most...
